Rod has never been satisfied with mediocrity. He prides himself on his work ethic and ability to create, communicate, and adapt accordingly. After successful careers in both public accounting and high school education, he was ready to apply his knowledge, expertise, and work ethic toward the formation of a business designed to support the people that mattered most to him - his family. Rod’s soothing and easy-to-listen-to voice, paired with his business acumen and desire to pursue entrepreneurship, paved the way for a career in voice acting.
Despite his growing business, Rod still considers himself an ordinary person. He loves helping people, especially when it comes to helping others achieve their goals. His music interests include being a decent trumpet player, along with being an amateur percussionist, pianist, and guitarist. He loves movies, tv, and video games; he loves to stay active; he’s an avid golfer. Voice acting has enabled Rod and his family to envision a life outside of the stereotypical working hours, limited vacation days, and distant retirement dates that so many people simply accept as normal. It’s a practice wherein he can continue to support his family, all while pursuing a passion that enables businesses to more effectively communicate and market themselves, and individuals to feel informed, relaxed, or entertained.
“My entire life, I’ve had teachers, friends, family members, coworkers, and students tell me that my voice was unique, memorable, and very calming. I’ve been told it’s the perfect voice for radio, TV commercials, relaxation, or podcasts. All this time, I’ve merely accepted it as a small compliment…a sort of, “you speak well” pat-on-the-back. It wasn’t until recently that I more seriously considered using my voice as an asset to build a business upon. I’m excited to see where this all takes me and my family.”
